Digital Factory Workbench Verification Snapshot - 2026-06-15
Digital Factory Workbench Verification Snapshot - 2026-06-15
Claim
Allowed public claim:
- Digital Factory is the local research workbench behind the next Mimesis Engineering iteration.
- It contains source packets, prototype plugin surfaces, ablations, holdouts, source scouting, failure records, and local claim-hygiene verifiers.
- On 2026-06-15 KST, a fresh local recheck found a bounded canon, a root README verification map, a root Python verifier, and plugin evidence/module verifier output.
- No root
package.jsonis present in the current root snapshot, sonpm testis not a current verification target.
Forbidden public claim:
- Digital Factory is public proof.
- Mimesis Engineering is externally validated.
- Mimesis universally improves AI output.
- Mimesis suppresses hallucination or fabrication in general.
- The plugin is production-ready or externally adopted.
- The visual workbench proves visual quality improvement.
External Standards
| source | what it contributes |
|---|---|
| GitHub Docs: About READMEs | A README should tell readers why a project is useful, what they can do with it, and how to use it. This informed the Digital Factory 30-second Read and current verification boundary. |
| Diataxis | Documentation should separate different reader needs. This artifact treats the workbench README as first-reader routing and the canon as reference/explanation, not as a launch page. |
| ArtifactsBench and ArtifactsBenchmark repo | Visual/interactive generated artifacts need rendered evidence, checklists, and evaluation boundaries. This supports keeping Digital Factory visual work as local evidence until public redacted boards or external panels exist. |
| US20210117167A1: AI-assisted UX Design Evaluation | UX evaluation can be decomposed into UI objects, sequences, clusters, and comparisons. This supports treating visual Mimesis as a structured evaluation problem rather than a vague taste claim. |
Current Local Snapshot
Observed from local filesystem and command output on 2026-06-15 KST:
| surface | observed evidence | boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Digital Factory root | The private/local workbench root is not a root git repo. | This is a local workbench, not a public repo. |
| Root README | README.md now includes 30-second Read, Claim Ladder, Current Source-First Anchors, and Verification Snapshot. | This improves inspectability; it is not external validation. |
| Bounded canon | MIMESIS-CANON.md now includes Current Bounded Claim, Claim Ladder, Quarantined Claims, and Next Proof Target. | The canon lowers over-strong historical language rather than proving the method works. |
| Root verifier | verify_workbench_surface.py checks README and canon markers. | Marker presence proves local hygiene only. |
| Root npm boundary | No root package.json is present in the current root snapshot. | npm test is not a current verification target and must not be claimed as a passing bundle. |
| Plugin checks | mimesis-plugin verifiers pass and tools/validate_module.py --all reports 16/16 valid. | Module validation proves provenance/hygiene for the current module set only. |
| Minecraft board v1 gate | verify_minecraft_board_v1_gate.py passes because the draft skeleton exists and the board remains explicitly not ready. | Local sidecar screenshots/logs/runtime smoke exist, but no manifest.json, READY.json, full scorer transcript, or route-linked board-v1 proof exists. |
| Dirty nested work | mimesis-source-packet has existing modified files: 01-PARADIGM.md, 08-FINDINGS.md, paper/PAPER-DRAFT-v1.md. | Do not use those dirty files as public proof until reviewed. |
What Changed Locally
| file | change |
|---|---|
README.md | Added a 30-second reader map, claim ladder, source-first anchors, verification snapshot, and explicit public-copy rule. |
MIMESIS-CANON.md | Replaced over-strong working-note language with a bounded canon and quarantined-claim list. |
verify_workbench_surface.py | Checks markers for MIMESIS-CANON.md, Claim Ladder, Verification Snapshot, No root package.json is present, npm test is not a current verification target, Quarantined Claims, and production-boundary wording. |
Validation
Fresh local command from the private/local workbench root:
python verify_workbench_surface.py
Observed result:
Digital Factory workbench surface checks passed.
Fresh local commands from the private/local mimesis-plugin lane:
python verify_evidence_references.py
python verify_public_hygiene.py
python verify_claims.py
python verify_readme_claims.py
python tools/validate_module.py --all
python -B verify_minecraft_board_v1_gate.py
Observed result:
Mimesis evidence-reference checks passed.
16/16 valid
Minecraft board v1 gate passed: draft skeleton exists; board v1 is not ready.
Current root npm boundary:
No root package.json is present, so npm test is not a current verification target.
Claim Boundary
What this artifact proves:
- The local workbench has a clearer first-reader README.
- The local workbench has a bounded canon that quarantines over-strong claims.
- The root workbench surface verifier and plugin evidence/module verifiers can be run as separate local checks.
- The current plugin module set still reports
16/16 validin local verification. - Minecraft board v1 remains explicitly blocked because
manifest.json,READY.json, full scorer transcript, and route-linked board-v1 proof do not exist.
What this artifact does not prove:
- external validation,
- independent adoption,
- production readiness,
- statistical significance,
- visual quality improvement,
- customer outcome,
- Minecraft board v1 readiness,
- public-safe screenshot manifest completion,
- route-linked board-v1 proof,
- or that Mimesis Engineering is a universal methodology.
Marketing Use
Safe profile/blog sentence:
Digital Factory is a private/local Mimesis Engineering workbench with a bounded canon, source-first queue, local evidence packets, and hygiene checks; public claims are routed through redacted proof artifacts rather than raw local workbench files.
Unsafe sentence:
Digital Factory proves Mimesis Engineering works.
Next Proof
The next stronger artifact should be one redacted case packet:
- source artifacts used,
- baseline output,
- Mimesis-conditioned output,
- wrong-anchor or checklist control,
- non-LLM gate where possible,
- human judgment clearly labeled if used,
- failure cases and forbidden claims.
Until that exists, this artifact should remain a local hygiene and claim-boundary proof, not a performance claim.
